Our History Project - Archeaology Report March 15-31, 2009
This week has been crazy and busy. I did not get a chance to record the Archeology in the News from the 15th - 31st, but I did not want you to miss out. I have provided the links to the stories below that highlight what I have found.
S.C. bluff dig uncovering millenia of human history.
Blackbeard Pirate Relics, Gold Found. Make sure to also look at the follow up story on Black Beard: Blackbeard's Legend, Legacy Live on in North Carolina.
Civil War naval clashes uncovered at Bayport.

Bradley T. Lepper: New find doesn't end debate on Clovis cache.
How scientists and Native Americans pulled off a major dig before the feds triple border fence destroyed everything.
Teeth Of Columbus' Crew Flesh Out Tale Of New World Discovery.
I hope you enjoy the reads.
Don't forget to listen this Saturday when the new show is released. It will feature Charles Barrow a Navy Medic during the Korean War. This show is great for school age as well as adults. It give very clear understanding of the layout, demographics and climate during the first years of the war.

We are updating
In March of this year we have moved servers and are in the process of moving all of our audio over to our own. It was due to excessive rising cost and the lowering of service that prompted this move. Please bear with us as we make this transition. If there is a show you are looking for and do not see here as of yet, feel free to contact us and we can get you a direct download link.

I love the info about Blackbeard or aka Edward Teach. His lair was off the coast of Georgia and is still known today as Blackbeard Island. In the 70's the Federal Government made it a wildlife refugee. I just purchased a book to read about this infamous pirate and was interested to see this article.
